In its ever-increasing efforts to improve the quality of its services, Applus+ has developed a framework that allows for and provides technician training and certification via customized computer-based applications. Applus+ uses computer-based applications to train and certify Inspectors across its current state programs in Connecticut, Washington, Georgia, and Illinois. In addition, Applus+ has provided training services in three other state programs in recent past, including Utah, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. For some of these programs, Applus+ operates classroom-based coaching, while in others Applus+ has transitioned classroom-based training solutions to web-based electronic training programs. We understand the complexity of turning classroom training curriculums into condensed web modules that encapsulate a fixed amount of learning time. In developing solutions to these issues, we work with each state agency to develop a curriculum that best matches their mandated training hour requirements, while providing an easy-to-use interface to accommodate users in all proficiency levels.
Applus+ solutions provide a user-friendly interface developed modularly using the .NET framework. The core engine is designed to be accessed through a web browser, but the modular architecture allows us to adapt the design for a windows form-based application as well. The Applus+ eLearning solution supports multilingual capabilities, integrated audio and visual aids, forward and backward navigation options, customized reporting and complete administrative portal to help maintain the system.
