The first company to implement secure iris scan authentication in a decentralized emissions program.
Applus+ Technologies is the prime contractor for the Connecticut decentralized emissions program. We have deployed over 265 analyzers all across the state of Connecticut and each analyzer is designed to run on intelligent custom designed software which incorporates the use of secure iris scanning technology. All inspectors and station owners are required to scan in their irises on the analyzer and only upon a successful match are they allowed to perform the emissions inspection. Such state of the art technology has helped combat fraud prevention and has helped maintain the integrity of the program.
