Video Monitoring System
The first to provide video-lane monitoring from remote offices.
Applus+ Technologies, Inc. was the first company to provide a Video Monitoring System (VMS) as a part of the QA/QC plan in our former Massachusetts I/M Program. The VMS was an effective tool in coaching and monitoring inspectors to ensure an accurate emissions test is provided to the Massachusetts motorists. Selected inspectors were provided a video camera system that was integrated into the workstation, which was required to be operated every time the inspector performed an emissions test. The Massachusetts VMS provided a video link to an Applus+ certified Customer Service Representative who evaluated the inspectors’ performance and provided the inspector with any necessary procedural corrections.
